Heating Capacity and Burn Time

  • What should I know about gas heating appliance heating capacity and burn times?

    Gas appliance performance can be affected by negative pressure in the home and by prevailing atmospheric conditions. Contact local building or fire officials about restrictions and installation requirements in your area.    

  • What should I know about wood stove and insert heating capacity and burn times?

    HEATING CAPACITY : May vary depending on the degree of home insulation, floor plan and the ambient temperature zone of the area in which you live. BTU OUTPUT & BURN TIME: May vary depending on woodstove size, moisture content of wood, wood type, chimney draft and oxygen supply.    

  • What should I know about pellet stove and insert heating capacity and burn times?

    HEATING CAPACITY : May vary depending on the degree of home insulation, floor plan and the ambient temperature zone of the area in which you live. BTU input range will vary with brand and size of pellets.      

         

    WALL THERMOSTATS : The burn times on your pellet appliance can be substantially increased with the use of a wall thermostat. The thermostat is designed to cycle the appliance on and off and maintain your home to your desired temperature. Wall thermostats are optional on the Newport and Newport Bay and standard on the Astoria and Astoria Bay.

  • Can I purchase a stove from you and install it myself?

    Yes! Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions and ask us about our "cash and carry" option. 

  • Can I buy a stove from you and have it delivered?

    Yes! We can drop it off at your property, unopened in the crate. We cannot bring the appliance inside, set it in place or climb stairs due to liability for a delivery only. 

  • Will I need a permit for any work you perform?

    Absolutely! It's required (with the exception of minor work such as doors, specific mason work, cleanings, waterproofing & the like).    

  • Why should I have my dryer vent cleaned?

    Every year, about 17,000 dryer fires are reported. The leading cause of these fires, about 34%, is an unclean dryer vent. Protect yourself by having your dryer vent cleaned regularly.

  • Why should I work with FireFox Energy Concepts instead of another dealer?

    Answer these questions and you'll have your answer: Are the other stores employees performing the installations and pulling permits? Are they handing the work to non professionals without permits? Our employees are our installers and are directly responsible for a quality installation. At Firefox, we sell, install and service all our units. Our Employees are fully trained and we are licensed with the State of New Jersey.    

  • I've been scammed by other chimney companys and contractors. Why should I trust you?

    We have been owner owned & operated for over 30 years. We are state licensed and pull permits on all jobs that require one. Our integrity & determination for 100% customer satisfaction is priority. We don't disapear when there is a problem, we come out, assess it and correct it.
